In the first segment Sophy and Kelly speak with Kim Smith from the University of Chicago Crime Lab about the work of the Crime Lab, 2017 gun crime statistics in Chicago, data driven policing, and the urban gun market. In the second segment they speak with Khary Penebaker, a DNC Representative for Wisconsin, about his own experience with gun violence, his work as an Everytown Survivor Fellow, and policy recommendations that could reduce gun violence.
