Bio
Laura Goos is Mayor Pro Tem and has been a commissioner of the City of St. Joseph, Michigan since 2017. In her professional life, Laura is a leader with over 25 years experience and measurable success in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Change Management, and Organizational Effectiveness. She is an avid Champion of Diversity, Inclusion and Social Equity.
In both her professional and public roles, Laura believes in improving the status quo and serving through difficult times. This is one of the reasons she is also a trained Climate Reality Leader and co-chair of the Sustainability Committee for the City of St. Joseph. Finally, Laura is a Vice Chair of the Berrien County Democratic Party where she advocates for progressive Democratic candidates throughout Southwest Michigan.
